Welcome the The Old Barn, a relaxing place to unwind just 3 miles away from the centre of Whitby, on the North Yorkshire coast.

Relax on the patio in the garden, drinking a well-earned cappuccino as you take in the stunning view over the Esk Valley and the North Yorkshire Moors.

Stroll, right from the door, down quiet country lanes and footpaths over fields and through woods in the Esk Valley and Aislaby Moor.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast, using Fair Trade products when available, and do all this while staying in a comfortable room with your own Freeview television and DVD player.

For many years, your hosts Susan and Chris Taylor have enjoyed welcoming people into their home.  Some have stayed for months, others only for days, but our guest book attests to the fact that they enjoyed their stay whatever the circumstances!  (One guest thought that the guest book was a gift and took it to Dubai with them when they left!)

Now you can enjoy the many aspects we have to offer:

• A beautiful view over the Esk Valley and Littlebeck
• Walks can start from our drive to many parts of the National Park
• Bus stop to Middlesbrough, Whitby and Scarborough 200m from the door
• We can plan and advise on what to see and when to see it
• Avoid the crowds in Whitby
• Child friendly (we have one ourselves)
